“The Residents” are the one of the first anonymous bands , the biggest and productive band in the world, the most unknown, the less Mediated,  with no fame at all , the most interesting band alive

They always hide behind masks, art with no faces or names

The Residents Mole Show Riverside Interview With Penn Jillette

Video cassette recording of a piece from BBC programme ‘Riverside’ on The Residents to publicise the Mole Show tour. I think it was 1983, though not 100% sure. Riverside was a 30-minute music programme that ran on the BBC from 1982-1983, often with remarkably dumb questions in the interviews. Good to see Penn Jillette looking so young.

It seems they are not Incognito anymore

THE RESIDENTS REVEALED! (rare photos of Vileness Fats, Homer, Hardy & Jay)

A slide show of pics from Bill Reinhardt’s summer visits to The Residents home during the production of “Vileness Fats”. Also, snapshots of Rez Hardy in Portland visiting Bill and girlfriend, Rhoda. ‘H’ wanted to see the record shops where “Meet the Residents” were being sold. (Included are a few postcards, programs and promos from the era).
